I was reading up on Irina Trache’s case and something that really caught my attention was how technology could potentially play a role in her disappearance. Even though this happened back in 2011, New York was already a pretty tech-savvy city. With all the CCTV cameras around Midtown Manhattan, I wonder if law enforcement went through all the available footage extensively. It's crazy to think how much technology has evolved since then. Nowadays, there are AI programs for facial recognition and tracking movements in camera feeds. I can’t help but think about whether any overlooked footage might hold the answers. Could it be worth giving the video data another look with today’s technology? It might be a long shot after so many years, but it feels like a decent angle to re-explore. What do you guys think? Should older cases be reconsidered with the advancements in tech?

Has anyone else looked into the surveillance footage from the Midtown area on September 5, 2011, where Irina Trache was last seen? It's been bothering me that there seems to be so little info on what those cameras might have captured that day. In a place like Manhattan, you'd think there'd be dozens of cameras at intersections, businesses, and transit areas. Was there ever any detailed public release or analysis of what was found in that footage? Or could it be that the cameras just didn’t catch her for some reason? It just seems like such a crowded space to vanish without a trace. Maybe someone here has some insight or can point to any reports that I might have missed?
