I've been following the case of Margaux Leuzzi and Joseph Messina, and my heart truly goes out to their children. I can't imagine the pain they're going through right now. A piece of this story that's been weighing heavily on my mind is the broader issue of domestic violence. It's so tragic that situations like this often go unnoticed until it's too late.
The community's financial support for the children is inspiring, but I'm left wondering about the long-term emotional support they'll need. It's one thing to raise money—and I'm glad people have been so generous—but how do we ensure these kids are getting the emotional and mental health resources they need? It feels like there needs to be a broader conversation about providing ongoing support for victims' families, not just immediate relief.
I'm hoping this tragedy sparks real change in how we handle and discuss domestic violence in our communities. Any thoughts on how we can keep this conversation going and make a difference?
