Hey everyone, I’ve been following John Tull’s case since he went missing back in 2014 at Salt Creek Beach. I’ve always wondered about the conditions at the beach that day. It seems like the lifeguards would have been aware of the challenging waters. Was there any indication of just how rough the surf was? Were they warning visitors to be particularly cautious, or was it a typical day for experienced surfers? I know sometimes it's just bad luck, but it seems odd for an experienced surfer like John to vanish like that without anyone spotting him once he'd gone under. I came across a weather report from that day mentioning unusually strong currents. Could the underwater topography at Salt Creek Beach play a part in making rescues tough, despite the lifeguard presence? Anyone with coastal knowledge or locals from Dana Point have insights on how conditions can suddenly change there? Let’s keep his family in mind and hope for some answers.
