I've been thinking a lot about the tragic loss of Carrie Beck Shoop, and my heart genuinely goes out to her family and loved ones. It's truly difficult to comprehend how someone can be taken so suddenly and violently. One thing I keep pondering is the actions of William Shoop that day. It seems bizarre and surreal to imagine him repeatedly entering and exiting the house, eventually tossing the gun onto a trampoline. What was going through his mind during those moments? Was it a moment of panic, resignation, or something else entirely? It’s chilling to think about. It's hard to make sense of such a devastating and senseless act. I hope for the sake of Carrie's family, they find some closure as the investigation progresses. I can’t even begin to imagine the level of grief her children, grandchildren, and siblings must be feeling. Keeping them all in my thoughts.
