Hey everyone,
I've been following the heartbreaking saga of Kydair Strickland's murder, and something that sticks out to me is the role of community-based efforts (or rather, the lack thereof) in dealing with such violence. It seems that despite the police asking for the public's help, we don't hear much about community organizations stepping up or initiatives that might help bridge this gap between locals and law enforcement.
Are there any known groups in North Philly actively engaged in violence prevention or neighborhood watch programs that could play a part here? I just feel like there needs to be more proactive steps in that area. I know it's not easy, but community cooperation can sometimes bring about pivotal insights or witnesses who might be reluctant to approach the police directly.
Hoping Kydair's family finds some solace through justice. If anyone has any insights or knows about community efforts in the Glenwood area, please share. Stay safe out there, everyone.
Hey everyone, I’ve been following the investigation into Kydair Strickland’s death, and something that stands out to me is the lack of surveillance footage or eyewitness accounts. It’s frustrating because you’d think there would be more leads given it happened at a seemingly busy intersection.
I’ve read through some forums where similar cases were eventually solved due to random witnesses stepping forward, sometimes months later, when they finally feel safe enough to talk. It makes me wonder if there might’ve been people in the surrounding buildings or maybe someone driving by who saw something but hasn’t come forward yet. Sometimes people don’t realize the importance of what they might’ve seen.
I feel deeply for Kydair’s family. They deserve answers and closure. If anyone reading this was in the area or knows someone who might’ve been around Park Avenue and Rush Street that night, please think hard about whether you or they saw something unusual, no matter how small. Every little piece could be crucial for the investigators. Hopefully, justice will come soon for Kydair and his loved ones. Stay safe, everyone.
