I’ve been following the tragic case of Alaysia Smith, and it just breaks my heart to see the news about her passing. One thing I've been thinking about is the culture of fear and silence that often surrounds these cases. In situations like this, there are often so many who know what happened, but they’re too afraid to speak up. I can understand the fear—I mean, who wouldn’t be scared with everything going on? Still, it feels like there’s this urgent need to protect our community from further tragedies. I really hope that with the $20,000 reward on offer, someone might be encouraged to come forward. Rewards can sometimes make a difference, but it takes brave souls to step up and break the silence. If anyone out there knows something, I sincerely believe that now is the time to speak up. It could help bring peace to Alaysia’s family, and maybe, just maybe, prevent this from happening to someone else’s child. Sending love and strength to her family and friends during such a devastating time. ?

Hey everyone. I can't stop thinking about the two teenage boys who were seen running from the house after Alaysia was shot. I'm not saying they're guilty, but it makes me wonder what they saw or know. Living in a neighborhood plagued by gun violence has to be terrifying, especially for kids. It’s scary to think their first instinct was to run, and I can’t blame them for being afraid. But I hope they can find the courage to come forward if they have any information that could help. This community—and Alaysia's family—deserves answers and justice. We can’t let fear silence witnesses when a young life has been tragically lost. Keeping them and Alaysia in my prayers tonight.
