Hey everyone, I’ve been following Jayden Blackmon’s case, and something that really struck me was the community's response. The vigil held by Mothers of Murdered Offspring was so moving, and it’s clear this tragedy has rippled through the entire community. I didn’t know Jayden personally, but hearing Tiffany Williams speak about losing her own son and seeing the turnout at Camp Greene Park, it just hits home how vital community support is in moments like these. It’s a reminder of how we all need to come together, not just to grieve, but to push for change. I’ve seen similar vigils organized in response to youth violence, and the unity on display is always touching. It’s sad, though, that we need such gatherings at all. If anyone attended the vigil or knows more about what the community is planning to tackle violence, I’d love to hear your thoughts or updates. Perhaps there's more we can do, or ways to support existing efforts. These young lives deserve a chance to thrive. Take care, everyone. Hug your loved ones a little closer tonight.
