I’ve been following the unfolding details of the Steele family tragedy, and my heart goes out to their loved ones. I wanted to bring attention to a lesser-discussed aspect of this case: the role of the community and family support networks. From what I've read, Ethel seemed to have been surrounded by people who cared deeply about her and the kids. Her aunt, Wanda, even mentioned her dedication as a mother. It makes me wonder if there were any signs leading up to this that perhaps went unnoticed. It's such a difficult situation because no one wants to believe something like this could happen to someone they know and love. I think it's crucial for us all to be more open about mental health struggles and to keep checking in on one another, even when things seem okay on the surface. Offering a listening ear or suggesting resources can sometimes make a difference. What are your thoughts on how communities can better support families in crisis before it gets to a breaking point?

Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about the tragic murder-suicide case in Winston-Salem involving the Steele family. I just can't wrap my head around how someone as dedicated and loving as Ethel was described to be could reach such a breaking point. There's been some discussion about her recent vacation to Florida with her kids. Has anyone else considered how this trip might have played a role in this tragedy? It seems they returned just before this awful event happened. Could it be possible that there were signs or stressors during this trip that no one caught at the time? It's just so perplexing, especially when family members painted her as such a committed mom. Maybe there were underlying stresses or mental health struggles that went unnoticed, which highlights yet again how important it is to check in on loved ones, even when they seem to have it all together. I can't even begin to imagine the pain their loved ones are going through right now. Hoping they find strength and support in their community. ?
