I’ve been reflecting on the recent events surrounding Michael Feldman’s tragic passing, and something that hasn't been discussed much is the aftermath on the local tech community. Feldman was such a significant figure in the Charlotte tech scene, not just as a co-founder of T1V but also for his contributions to education and mentorship in engineering. His influence stretched far beyond his immediate circle; he was known for paving the way for many aspiring engineers and entrepreneurs. This loss is more than just personal to his family—it’s a loss for the creative, innovative fabric of our community. For those of us in tech or academia, it feels like we’ve lost a guiding presence. Michael was someone who showed that it's possible to bridge corporate success with meaningful academic contributions. I hope that, amidst this loss, we can continue to honor his legacy by supporting each other and continuing the work he was so passionate about. If there’s any information, however small, that anyone can share with authorities, it’s crucial we do so to help bring about some form of justice. My thoughts are with his family and all those who knew him. ?
