Hi everyone, I wanted to add my thoughts on the community reaction following Tommy Whaley's tragic death. It’s been really moving to see how the Burgaw community has come together to support each other and his family during this incredibly difficult time. It's a reminder of how important community strength and solidarity are when faced with such senseless acts of violence. Tommy was obviously a beloved figure—his talent with engines and his lively personality touched a lot of people. From what I understand, the memorial in Clinton was a beautiful testament to his life, filled with laughter and tears as people shared their fondest memories of him. While the pain of his passing is undeniable, I hope that this can spark some necessary conversations about gun violence and what can be done to prevent similar tragedies in the future. It seems clear that the community is determined to find ways to ensure safety for everyone, and that's truly inspiring. Just wanted to share some words of encouragement and solidarity. I’m hoping for healing and peace for Tommy's daughter and the entire Whaley family. Take care, everyone.
