I can't stop thinking about the role of mental health and how the system didn't intervene sooner in this tragic situation with Cyrus Blakney. It's terrifying to think that warnings might have been overlooked or processes delayed. If the authorities had been able to act more swiftly with the involuntary mental commitment order, would things have been different? Russell's history of charges suggests a pattern that should have prompted urgent action. My heart goes out to Piper and the whole family, navigating the aftermath of such trauma. This reminds me of how critical it is for our systems to prioritize mental health intervention before things escalate to such unimaginable tragedies.
