I can't stop thinking about how this tragedy has affected Casey's family, especially his little daughter, Mil'liana. Losing a parent is devastating enough, but to never even get the chance to know them is unimaginable. I hope she grows up surrounded by love and support from the community, so that one day she can understand how much her dad was cherished. It's uplifting to see the local scene honoring his memory; I think keeping his music alive is such a meaningful way to celebrate his life. Sending strength to his family during this unimaginable time. ?
Has anyone else been following the case of Casey "Brazzy Red" Goolsby? I just came across an old track of his and it hit me hard. I still can't believe we're talking about this tragic event. It's so surreal. I didn't know Casey personally, but I had the pleasure of catching a few of his performances. "Brazzy Red" was something special. His music had meaning, you know?
