I can't stop thinking about the bravery and resilience of the 15-year-old girl who survived the tragic shooting on Lake Mist Drive. It's unimaginable the trauma she must be experiencing, yet she's still here, carrying on. The strength it takes to survive such an ordeal at such a young age is beyond words. I hope she knows that there are countless people rooting for her recovery and sending love her way. The road ahead may be tough, but she's already proven she's tougher. Let's all continue to support her and the community during this incredibly difficult time.

I’ve been following the discussions around the tragic events on Lake Mist Drive, and my heart truly goes out to Yara’s family and friends. I can only imagine the pain they’re enduring, and it must be so difficult with the media attention and all the speculation about the case. I wanted to bring up something that hasn’t been discussed much—the impact on the two survivors. The 19-year-old man and the 15-year-old girl who were injured in the shooting are facing tremendous physical and emotional challenges. Surviving such an incident is life-altering, and I think it’s important we keep them in our thoughts as they recover and deal with the trauma. It’s easy for their experiences to be overshadowed when there’s a loss as profound as Yara’s, but they, too, are going through something very intense. As a community, it could be beneficial to have support systems in place for victims and survivors of violence to help them navigate these challenges and hopefully find some peace in the aftermath. If anyone knows of organizations helping these survivors, sharing that information could make a difference. Let's hope for healing for them and justice for Yara’s family.
