Did anyone else find it odd that David Scheithauer's car was found parked at a trailhead outside of San Antonio, but there weren’t any signs suggesting he planned a hike or camping trip? It seems like such a strange location for him to randomly leave his vehicle unless he was meeting someone, perhaps? I read somewhere that his family and friends said David wasn't someone you'd expect to go hiking without telling anyone. Has there ever been any mention of surveillance footage from nearby areas or trail cameras? Just thinking those might offer some clue about his movements that day or who he could have possibly been with. If anyone in the San Antonio area has info on missing persons cases, now would be a great time to come forward. It's surely been tough for his family not having any answers for so long. Thoughts?
Hi everyone, I've been following David Scheithauer's case for a while and something that's been on my mind is the role of the Cold Case Squad. San Antonio's unit has a pretty strong reputation, and I’m curious if they’ve employed any specific forensic technology in David’s case that we might not know about. Does anyone have info or even just insights into what these tech advancements might entail? I know they work closely with the Texas Rangers and the FBI, who definitely have cutting-edge resources. Could it be a matter of not having enough physical evidence to start with? It's frustrating watching it stall out, and I really hope something comes through soon. If anyone has thoughts or theories about how cases like this usually progress, I'd love to hear.
