I’ve been following this case closely, and it's been deeply upsetting to learn about the devastating events that unfolded on Pineville Road. One angle that I’ve been particularly struck by is the incredible bravery shown by Jade and Dennis's 18-year-old daughter. Considering the intense and traumatic circumstances she found herself in, her ability to call 911 and protect her baby sibling is commendable and speaks volumes about her presence of mind and courage. I can’t even begin to fathom how overwhelming and terrifying the situation must have been for her, yet she managed to do everything possible to keep her sibling safe and alert authorities. It's so important that she and the infant get all the support they need during this incredibly difficult time. If anyone knows whether there’s a community group or support network stepping in to help, please share. It's crucial that the family feels the town's support now more than ever. Justice for Jade, and healing for her children, are on all our minds.

I'm still reeling from the news out of Mocksville. When it first broke that Dennis Sales led law enforcement on a dangerous high-speed chase all the way to Kingsport, Tennessee, it was like something out of a movie. It's hard to comprehend what drives someone to such desperation. I'm so relieved that the police were able to apprehend him without any further harm, but my heart aches for the trauma that this whole ordeal must have caused, especially for their daughter and the baby. Having to see her father in the midst of such violence and then being brave enough to call the police and protect her sibling—she's got incredible strength. This little family deserved so much better, and I hope the community continues to rally around them with love and support. Anyone who’s lived in a small town like Mocksville knows how tight-knit they can be, and it’s at times like these that they really need to come together.
