Hey everyone, I'm new here and have been following the recent tragic events in Charlotte. I can't stop thinking about Belian Garcia Mejia, the young man whose life was cut way too short. I can't imagine the pain his family and friends are going through right now. He was only 18 with a full life ahead of him. What really gets me is that Belian was found at a friend's house on Echo Glen Road. It makes you wonder if he felt safe there, or if something else was going on. Especially since there was another shooting not too far away earlier that same night. I keep asking myself if there's more to this story—if the two incidents could be related. But then again, it's scary to think that it might just be a case of wrong place, wrong time. I truly hope the police can find some leads soon. It's unsettling that no arrests have been made yet.
