I’ve been following the Serenity Spencer case very closely, and the part that has really stuck with me is the vigil that was held by the community. It’s truly reflective of the love and support that the town of Wendell holds for each other. As a small community, it must be tough to process such a tragedy, but seeing everyone come together to honor Serenity’s memory is deeply moving. It seems like this case has really sparked crucial conversations around safety in smaller towns, which is an important step forward, albeit under such unfortunate circumstances. My heart goes out to Serenity’s family and friends during this time. Cases like these remind us of the need to support one another and advocate for safer environments wherever we live.
