I was just reading about Steven Lord's passing, and something that's been on my mind is the immense pressure executives like him face daily. Moving from Leawood to the fast-paced environment of New York City must’ve been such a drastic change for him and his family. It makes me wonder about the kind of support systems that are available, or perhaps not available, for professionals under such stress. Steven seemed to have an impressive career and a loving family, which makes everything even more tragic. My heart goes out to Sabina and their children; it’s unimaginable to lose a husband and father so suddenly. I hope they find some comfort in the outpouring of support from those who knew and loved him. For those in similar high-stress jobs, please make sure you're reaching out for help when needed. Life can be overwhelming, and there’s no shame in seeking support.
