Hi everyone, I’ve been following the tragic shooting on White Plains Road, and I can't stop thinking about how such senseless violence affects entire communities. It's devastating to see how it questions the safety of neighborhoods we call home and the places that should be familiar and welcoming. Has anyone else been to the Jimbo’s Hamburgers near 231st Street where the shooting happened? It’s unsettling to picture such a horrific event happening in a space where people gather, grabbing a bite to eat. I can't imagine how the staff and patrons present that day are coping with the memories of that morning. Sending thoughts of strength to those recovering in the hospital, and my deepest sympathies to Dashawn Hibbert’s family. No one should have to go through such an unimaginable loss. Let's hope someone with information comes forward soon.
