I’ve been following the updates on the tragic incident involving Ramon Alvarez, and one thing that’s been on my mind is the role the NYCHA building played in this case. I've heard mixed things about security measures and tenant safety in these public housing complexes. Does anyone know if there are cameras in the Jefferson Houses or if there’s any security presence? It's terrifying to think that someone could just walk in and out of an apartment, causing so much harm. Ramon’s family must be devastated; the thought of having to move forward without him, especially with a baby on the way, is unimaginable. Hopefully, the building management takes this as a wake-up call to review and improve safety protocols. My heart goes out to Ramon’s family and the entire community during this difficult time.
Did anyone else hear about the upcoming memorial service for Ramon Alvarez? It's scheduled for next weekend at the East Harlem Community Center. I heard it's going to be a gathering for friends, family, and community members to celebrate his life and offer support to his family. It seems like a really meaningful way for everyone affected by this tragedy to come together, especially with how close-knit the neighborhood is. Ramon was so young and had so much ahead of him, especially with a baby on the way—it's just so unbelievably sad. I'm planning to attend and pay my respects. If you have any info on how we can support his family during this time, please share. Let's keep them in our thoughts and support one another through this tough time.
