I've been thinking a lot about the tragic events that took place on Alexander Place in Buffalo. It's just so awful to hear about another young life lost. Jazzmine Fomby had a whole future ahead of her, and now it’s all been taken away because of a senseless act of violence. What really gets me is the fact that there were over 100 young people at that party. It breaks my heart to think about how those kids must be feeling, knowing that they were there when it all happened. I’ve been following updates hoping to hear that someone’s been caught, but so far, nothing. It’s frightening to think that they’re still out there. The community seems to be rallying and trying to help, with people offering tips and even a reward, but it must be so hard for Jazzmine’s family and friends to have to wait like this. I truly hope more people come forward with information. The teens that were injured and their families deserve answers and some form of justice. Beyond that, we really need to start addressing gun violence with more urgency. It’s devastating how these incidents seem to keep happening. Hoping for justice and peace for everyone affected by this tragedy. Stay safe, everyone.
