Hey everyone, I've been following the discussions about the Maplewood Park shooting, and something that's been really on my mind is the chaotic escape that unfolded when the gunfire erupted. I can't even begin to imagine the sheer terror those poor folks must have felt during that stampede. It struck me that sometimes, in our quest for justice, we overlook the trauma experienced by the survivors who managed to escape physically unharmed but are left carrying emotional scars. These events tear apart the sense of safety in a community gathering, and it's heartbreaking to think that a day meant for joy and connection turned into a nightmare. My heart goes out to the victims' families and to everyone who was there that day. Hearing indirectly from others about the panic and fear felt by so many is just devastating. I hope authorities can piece together the events of that day with eyewitness accounts because each person who was there holds a piece of the puzzle.
