I’ve been thinking a lot about how hard this must be for Shamel’s family, especially since no arrests have been made. I can’t even imagine the pain his sister Janavia and the rest of his family are going through. Losing someone suddenly and violently like this is just unimaginable. I was reading about the funeral service at Cherubini McInerney Funeral Home and I wonder how the community came together during such a difficult time. It‘s tough without closure, and knowing that an investigation is ongoing. Maybe someone will come forward soon with information to help the NYPD. Sending my thoughts and love to everyone affected by this tragedy.
