Walking through Bedford Park has always felt safe, so hearing about Kavon Reid's tragic death so close to home is deeply unsettling. It's sad to think that a simple stroll could turn into something so devastating. I've been reading about how he managed to run a block after being shot in the chest and leg, and it just breaks my heart. He must have been so desperate to survive and get help. The description of the suspect is so vague; it could be anyone. I'm hoping someone comes forward soon. It must be so terrifying for his family and friends to know the suspect is still out there. My thoughts are with those who knew and loved him. Stay safe, everyone. If you saw anything, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the authorities. Kavon deserved better.
