I've been following Tanisha's case closely, and what really stands out to me is the courage and quick thinking of her son during that terrifying night. It's hard to even imagine how he must have felt, trying to protect his mother and siblings in such a dangerous situation. He showed incredible bravery in the face of unimaginable fear and chaos. My heart truly goes out to him—he's still just a teenager, and he's been through so much. It's a heavy burden for anyone to carry, especially someone so young. I hope he's getting all the love and support he needs to heal from this traumatic experience. It's just so tragic that it ever came to this point. Hug your loved ones a little tighter tonight, everyone. Stay safe.

I'm sitting here thinking about how much Tanisha's kids have been through. It's unimaginable what they had to endure hearing those shots and losing their mom and uncle in such a violent way. To think that her son was in the position to try and fight back against Goodrich breaks my heart. It's so important for us to keep these children in our thoughts, support them however we can, and make sure they know they're not alone. This case is a stark reminder of how domestic violence extends its trauma far beyond the initial victim. These kids have had their world shattered, and it just feels so overwhelmingly sad. If anyone knows of ways the community is coming together to support Tanisha's family, especially her children, let's spread the word. They need to know that people care and that there is a world of support out there for them.
