I can't stop thinking about Douglas Sanders’ family and how they're coping with this tragic loss. It's unimaginable to think someone so young could lose their life over a senseless altercation. I wonder if his family or friends have spoken about how they're processing everything a year later? The legal process can be so slow and stressful. It’s a tiny comfort knowing that Brandon Allen is finally being held accountable, but it can't erase the pain for Sanders’ loved ones. Has anyone heard anything about how they’re holding up or if any community support has been organized for them? I know a lot of locals have been outraged and heartened by the recent developments, and I just hope they find some peace through this difficult time.
