Hey everyone,
I've been following the tragic case of Lawrence "Lorenzo" Carr Jr., and something that's been haunting me is the whole ShotSpotter alert system that led the police to the scene. I've read mixed reports over the years on how effective this technology truly is, but in this case, it seems to have been crucial in alerting law enforcement quickly. It makes me wonder how often these alerts actually prevent further violence or escalate response times in other areas.
Does anyone have insights or experiences with ShotSpotter being used effectively (or not) in similar cases? I can't help but think about how every second counts in situations like this. Praying for some answers and closure for Lorenzo's family and friends. It's just so hard to wrap my head around senseless acts like this.
Stay safe, everyone.
Has anyone else been following the investigation into Lorenzo Carr Jr.'s tragic death in Castle Point? I came across some discussion about ShotSpotter and how it played a role in alerting the police quickly that night. It’s amazing how this technology can potentially save lives by getting law enforcement to the scene faster, but it’s also disheartening that despite everything, no arrests have been made yet. I can’t imagine what his family and community are going through, waiting for answers day after day. I hope the increased awareness around these technologies and sharing details in supportive forums can somehow aid in finding the truth for Lorenzo and his loved ones. If anyone has tech insights or similar experiences in their areas, it would be great to discuss how effective they have been in aiding investigations.
