I’ve been following Calvin Kelly's case closely, and something that's been gnawing at me is the fact that Tabari Freeman managed to escape custody, albeit briefly. How does a security lapse like this happen, especially in a case involving such serious charges? I can't imagine how terrifying it must've been for Calvin's family to learn that the person accused of killing their loved one was on the loose, even if just for a few weeks. It's a relief he was caught again quickly, but this is a stark reminder of how the justice system sometimes fails to offer the basic reassurance we expect. My heart goes out to Calvin's family, having to face yet another unsettling chapter in this tragedy. Would love to hear your thoughts on safety measures and their effectiveness in juvenile facilities…
Hey everyone,
I've been following the Calvin Kelly case, and something that's been on my mind is the issue of security at the St. Louis Juvenile Detention Center. I mean, how does someone escape by just rolling under a security gate? It's terrifying to think about the vulnerabilities in detention centers, especially when we're talking about someone facing such serious charges.
I can’t imagine the stress and fear this must’ve caused Calvin’s family, knowing the suspect was on the loose, even for a short time. It's such a devastating situation all around. In cases like these, it really highlights the need for tighter security measures. Has anyone else heard of similar escape stories? What changes do you think could be made to prevent this from happening again?
Thinking of Calvin and his family during this incredibly difficult time. ?
In reading about this case, I'm particularly struck by how close everything happened to Calvin’s family home. I can't even begin to imagine the pain his loved ones must feel every time they pass by that spot on Shreve Avenue, a place that’s now marked by such tragedy. It’s haunting to think that a simple argument could escalate to something this devastating. My thoughts are firmly with the Kelly family during this incredibly difficult time. How do communities come together to heal from something like this? Hoping for justice and some sense of peace for everyone affected.
