I’ve been thinking a lot about Dennis Maguire's tragic death and wanted to talk about something that stands out to me: his unwavering faith. It’s clear that Dennis was a man of deep spirituality, attending mass regularly at St. Anthony’s of Padua Catholic Church. Faith can be such a powerful anchor in life, and it seems it was an important part of who he was. It makes me wonder how his community at the church is coping and if they’re rallying together to remember and honor him. In times of loss, having a close-knit group for support can make a difference, and I hope they find solace in each other. I also think about the strength it took him to undergo multiple heart surgeries and still find a new path by getting his HVAC certification. This speaks volumes about his character. My heart goes out to his family — his mother, sons, and sisters must be going through so much right now. Keeping them, and all who loved Dennis, in my thoughts.
