Hey everyone, I’ve been following the K’yiel Collins-Phillips case, and there’s something that's been bothering me about the surveillance footage that was mentioned. The whole incident makes me wonder about the role that fear or adrenaline might have played for all the individuals involved. This was someone's son, friend, and community member, and his life was cut short over what seems like a preventable situation. It's important for us to support K’yiel’s family as they navigate this unimaginable loss and hope for justice in whatever form it takes. This case raises so many questions about vigilantism and the legal consequences of taking the law into one's own hands. Sending thoughts to those who knew and loved K’yiel.
