Hey everyone, I've been following the tragic case of Don and Kathy McRoberts and wanted to bring up something I noticed that hasn't been discussed much yet. While we're all struggling to comprehend the loss of such wonderful pillars of the community, I'm honestly puzzled by the role of mental health in this situation. It sounds like Davionne was experiencing some significant challenges, evident from his alarming social media activity and the bizarre behavior on the day of the incident. I'm by no means suggesting that mental health issues excuse his actions, but it does make me wonder what warning signs might have been overlooked, and if there were could have been an intervention that might have helped him sooner. Given Don and Kathy's background in service and helping others, I can't help but think they would have wanted Davionne to get the help he needed. It's so tragic that this situation ended up costing their lives. My heart goes out to their entire family and the Troy community as they cope with such unimaginable circumstances. Hoping for some good discussion here, and if anyone has insights on mental health resources in Troy or similar small towns, please share. ❤️
