Has anyone else been following the tragic case of Chestina Gaskin? It's been on my mind a lot lately, especially given how young she was. I can't stop thinking about how she was preparing to start a new chapter in her life, being six months pregnant and having just achieved her cosmetology license. It's such a devastating loss for her family and friends, and I can't imagine the pain they're experiencing right now. Something that's been troubling me is the way the argument escalated to such a violent confrontation. It seems like this could have been avoided, and I just keep wondering if there were any signs earlier on that could have indicated it would end this way. Domestic violence situations are often so complicated and full of red flags that are easy to overlook until it's too late. My heart and thoughts go out to her loved ones. May they find some form of peace and justice in such an unbelievably sad situation.
