I’ve been following the Kyle Wilson case, and I can’t stop thinking about the role of bystanders who witnessed the confrontation. It's haunting to imagine being there and watching the argument escalate. Did any of them try to intervene or call for help before Shanika Gideon returned with the gun? It's easy to wonder what I would have done if I were there. Bystander intervention is a hard issue, especially in volatile situations, but sometimes it might make a difference. My thoughts are with Kyle’s family and friends—this must be such a difficult time for them. It’s terrible how quickly things escalated that day. If anyone on here has more thoughts or info, it would be interesting to discuss how communities could support people before these situations turn deadly.
