Hi everyone, I’ve been reading up on the tragic case of Jason Hidalgo and one detail that really stands out to me is the international coordination involved in capturing the suspect, Joshua Alvarado. It must have been an enormous effort for the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office and the Englewood Police to work alongside the U.S. Marshals and the Colombian National Police over such a long period. It's reassuring to see different agencies and even countries coming together to ensure justice is served. I can’t help but think about the toll this must have taken on Jason’s family, waiting for months while the investigation stretched beyond borders. The fact that authorities persisted and eventually found Alvarado in Colombia shows true commitment. For Jason's loved ones, I hope that this arrest can bring some measure of solace amid their immense loss. Does anyone here have experience or insights into how extradition processes typically work?
