It's been really weighing on me how little information there is about Akmid Shadee Sutton's case. It's so frustrating knowing he was taken so senselessly and yet there's almost nothing out there about what actually happened that day. I can't even imagine what his family is going through, dealing with such a profound loss and not having any answers.
I stumbled across his tribute on the National Gun Violence Memorial, and it seems like such a beautiful way to honor his life. But it highlights how many families are in this same painful situation. I wonder if there are any community efforts underway in Newark to push for more answers or even support for families like Akmid's who are left in this limbo.
The lack of suspects or arrests is really concerning. It's like people are here one day and simply gone the next, without any resolution. Newark, like many places, needs more resources and attention to tackle these cases head-on. It's a reminder that while each person lost can seem like just a statistic, each name has a story filled with loved ones who are left behind. Anyone else have any ideas on how communities can support these grieving families or push for more transparency in unraveling these tragic events?
