Was anyone else really struck by the fact that Arthur Lee Harris Jr. wasn't even the intended target of that awful shooting on Augustine Circle? It's so tragic to think about how someone can lose their life simply by being in the wrong place at the wrong time. I can't imagine what his family must be going through, knowing he was innocent in this whole situation. The randomness of this violence is just terrifying. With Brian Peoples and Jakobi Taylor now facing murder charges, I'm hoping that justice will provide some solace to Arthur's loved ones, though it can never heal their loss. It's essential that we continue talking about gun violence and the impact it has on communities like Portsmouth. This case really highlights the unpredictable nature of violence in our society and, yet again, another family is left mourning a promising young life. Keeping Arthur's family in mind through all of this. ?
