Did anyone else hear about the candlelight vigil for Ti'Jonte Terry at the Boys & Girls Club? I saw some posts on social media, and it seems like a beautiful way for the community to come together and remember him. It's deeply saddening to think a young life filled with so much promise was lost in such a senseless act of violence. I can't even begin to imagine what his family is going through right now. Newport News has been hit hard by this tragedy, and I hope the vigil brought some comfort to those who knew Ti'Jonte. We really need to keep pushing for change and find ways to make our neighborhoods safer for our kids. Does anyone know if there have been any updates on the investigation? Keeping his family in my thoughts.

Hey everyone, I've been following the tragic case of Ti'Jonte Terry, and something that's been on my mind is the community's response. It’s been over a week since the incident, and seeing the outpouring of support for his family and friends is truly moving. The vigil at the Boys & Girls Club seemed like a heartfelt way to honor his memory and bring the community together. I’ve read that many described Ti'Jonte as someone who had great potential, and it’s such a heavy weight on the heart knowing he won't be able to fulfill it. It’s comforting to see the community standing in solidarity, but it also emphasizes the urgency of tackling youth violence and gun-related issues. For those local to Newport News, how has the community been rallying in other ways? Are there any ongoing initiatives or programs actively working to prevent these tragedies in the future? It's so important we continue the conversation and push for change. My thoughts are with his family and friends during this difficult time.
