It's so shocking to think about what happened at the Onelife Fitness gym. I can’t imagine how traumatic it must have been for the people who witnessed this tragedy unfold in what should be a safe and welcoming environment. My heart goes out to Joshua’s family; losing someone so young, especially in such a violent way, is unimaginable. I also find myself wondering about the gym's security measures. With 60 people there at the time, one would think there would be some sort of protocol or intervention possible. I’m not blaming anyone, just curious about what steps gyms can or do take to ensure the safety of their patrons. Maybe it's time to start thinking about how these public spaces handle security and emergency situations. I hope something positive, in terms of change or awareness, can come from this dreadful event.
