I can’t stop thinking about how Brandon was known around the community. It's a small world, and everyone knew him as such a dedicated father. It's just so hard to wrap my head around this happening right here in Roanoke. I often saw Brandon taking his kids to school or playing at the park — he seemed like such a loving dad. It's devastating that those children have lost such a vital figure in their lives. How do we even start to heal from such loss? My heart goes out to his family and especially his kids, who will have to grow up without him. I wonder if there were warning signs in the argument that led to this. We need to do more as a society to prevent these tragedies. Keeping Brandon's family in my thoughts as they navigate this incredibly difficult time.
