I was reading through the details about George Phillips Jr.'s tragic death, and one thing that really struck me was the location of the incident. The 1000 block of German School Road isn't exactly known for this kind of violence. I can't imagine what George must've been going through in those last moments, and I feel for his family who now have to grapple with the reality of losing him in such a senseless act. I wonder if the area being less prone to such crime made it easier for Harry Hunter Jr. to carry out this act without drawing immediate suspicion. It's unnerving to think that for a while, the community might not have realized the danger lurking around. I really hope the Richmond Police can piece together what led to this, beyond just identifying the shooter, and that they can provide some answers to George’s loved ones. Keeping his family and the community in my thoughts.
