Has anyone else been following the updates on the Lava Lounge incident? I just learned that Belser and Smith had a history of disagreements, and this wasn't their first confrontation at the club. It really makes me wonder about what's going on with the security at these venues. You'd think that if there were known issues between two patrons, especially with a history of altercations, the security would have stepped up their game to monitor any potential confrontation.
It's so tragic that things escalated to such a fatal outcome. My heart goes out to Belser’s family and friends. I can't even begin to imagine the pain they must be feeling. More importantly, how many more incidents need to happen before significant changes are made in terms of safety and security in nightlife spots? The community deserves better.
