Has anyone else been following Alicia Garcia’s case from Lexington? I’ve been thinking a lot about the fact that she was classified as an endangered runaway. It’s concerning how often that label gets used, sometimes with minimal follow-up. I get that resources are stretched, but shouldn’t a 16-year-old missing for so long warrant a more intensive search effort? I’m just worried that she’s not getting the attention she needs to stay safe. It seems like there’s a sense of urgency missing because it’s been labeled as a runaway situation. What do you all think?
