It's truly shocking how seemingly random acts can tear lives apart. I can't imagine the pain Redick's family must be feeling right now. The fact that Back had previous convictions and wasn't supposed to have a gun just makes this all the more infuriating. How did he even get access to a firearm? It's good to know the judge denied him bond, but it doesn’t answer the big questions. Are there gaps in the system that are allowing people like this to slip through? My heart goes out to the Redicks. I hope justice is served and some light is shed on how this could have been prevented. If anyone knows more about how firearms are being accessed illegally in the area, I’d be interested to hear about it.

Did anyone else catch that odd detail about Jason Back's story at the bond hearing? He claimed he was in the neighborhood looking for his hairdresser's address to drop off a gift. ? I can’t help but find that explanation really hard to swallow, especially with everything else we’ve heard about the case. It makes me wonder if there’s more to this story or if his legal team is scrambling for any excuse they can come up with. I really feel for David’s family. They spoke so bravely in court, and you can just feel their pain and confusion through their words. They must be going through so much right now, trying to find some sense of closure in all of this senselessness. Here's hoping that justice is served for David and his loved ones.
