It's been really tough seeing our community hit by this tragedy. I didn't know Charles White Jr. or Christopher Cooper personally, but from what I've heard, they were both loved deeply by friends and family. It's devastating to think about the grief their loved ones are experiencing right now.
Gun violence is tearing apart the fabric of our community, and it's unsettling knowing something like this can happen so close to home. I've been to a couple of the vigils, and the support and solidarity there were palpable. Has anyone else noticed how closed off the investigators are being about this case? It’s been almost a month since it happened, and they’re still tight-lipped about who they’ve arrested and what the charges are. I can’t imagine how difficult this must be for the families of Charles and Christopher. The not knowing has to be unbearable. It makes me think about how often we see these tragedies splashed across the news, but there’s so much suffering behind the headlines for those left to pick up the pieces.
