I've been following Grace Ables' case, and something that keeps standing out to me is the timeline of events leading up to the shooting. There's such a huge gap in understanding what happened in those crucial moments. Was there an argument that led to the alleged "accidental" discharge, or was it something more sinister that wasn't immediately apparent? It’s hard to imagine the fear and uncertainty Grace must have felt in her final moments, especially while expecting her little girl, Skarlett. The way the charges escalated against Smith leaves me with so many questions. The fact that they were originally for involuntary manslaughter, then bumped up to two counts of murder, suggests they found something significant. I can't help but wonder what details will emerge once the autopsy and further investigations wrap up. My heart goes out to Grace's family and friends during this incredibly difficult time.
