I recently came across something regarding the shocking incident in Charleston on May 7th. It's just so tragic what happened to Rashaad Simmons and Derrik Rollerson Sr., and my heart goes out to their families. I attended the Celebration of Life Service for Rashaad at AGAPE InnerCity Community Church, and it was truly moving to see how many people cared for him and wanted to honor his memory. What struck me the most during the service was the warmth and support from the Charleston community. Many shared stories of Rashaad’s kindness and how he was always there for friends in need. It’s so important we don't let these memories fade amidst the chaos of the investigation. If anyone reading this has insight or has seen anything that could aid in the ongoing investigation, please consider reaching out to the authorities. The more we can do to assist, the better chance there is of achieving justice for both victims.

I was reading about Rashaad's Celebration of Life service, and it struck me how beloved he was by so many. It's moments like these that really bring to light the impact someone's life can have on their community. I hope the ongoing investigation sheds more light on what happened and brings some form of justice to those affected. If anyone knows more about how community services or local groups in Charleston are working to support the victim's families, I'd love to hear about it. It's crucial to let them know they aren't alone in this. Stay strong, everyone.
