Has anyone else noticed how complex some of these domestic arguments can get? I've been following the Michael Smith case, and the fact that Laura would end up in such a dire situation is something that weighs heavily. It's so hard to reconcile the image of a couple riding around happily with their dog and then hearing about the tragedy that unfolded later that day. I can't help but think about the pressure that might build up over things like finances, especially for couples who have been together for decades. It's not an excuse, of course, but I wonder if there were signs of stress or conflict beneath the surface that went unnoticed. My heart goes out to both their families, who are undoubtedly reeling from this unexpected nightmare. Does anyone else feel like there's so much we might never understand about what led to that moment?
