Just wanted to share a thought — I really feel for Kolbi's family and friends as they go through this incredibly tough time. I can't imagine the pain of losing someone so young and full of potential.
I’ve been thinking a lot about the aftermath of his tragic death and the way the community has rallied together. It's truly touching to see local organizations stepping up and discussing ways to tackle youth violence. This is something that affects us all, and it’s heartening to see people committed to making a change. But I'm also worried. Are there enough resources to make a real impact?
What are some successful strategies any of you have heard about when it comes to preventing youth violence? Maybe there’s something that could be done in collaboration with schools or local leaders. I’m hopeful that by coming together, some positive changes can be made in honor of Kolbi’s memory. He deserved so much more, and we owe it to him to work towards a safer community. Any thoughts or suggestions on what might help?
Did anyone else come across the memorial set up for Kolbi near Withers Alley? I walked by it today, and it was such an emotional moment. There were flowers, notes, and candles—a beautiful tribute that shows how deeply Kolbi was loved by his friends and family. It's awful to think how this young soul had his future taken away in an instant.
I couldn’t help but notice a message written by one of his classmates, talking about how Kolbi always went out of his way to help others and had genuine dreams of making a positive impact in the world. It’s heartbreaking to see the community rallying together under such tragic circumstances, but it also highlights the critical need for us to do more to protect our youth from violence. We have to address why things like this happen and how we can prevent them in the future. Sending love and strength to everyone who knew him.
