I’ve been following the tragic case of Stephanie Elizabeth Fries, and I just can’t shake the image of the impact on her children. Losing a parent in such a violent manner must be utterly devastating, especially when it’s someone who was so central to their lives. I’ve read that Stephanie was known for her vibrant spirit and love for animals, characteristics that I’m sure she passed on to her kids. It’s hard not to think about how her children are coping. In situations like this, community support can make a difference. If anyone has thought of any ways to support the family, especially the children, through this unimaginable time, I'd be interested in learning about them. Sometimes, knowing others care can be a small comfort. My thoughts are with the Fries’ family and community as they navigate this awful chapter in their lives.
