Has anyone else been following the details around Kamori Lake's case? I was struck by how young everyone involved is – just teenagers. It's hard to imagine that lives could be changed so drastically before they've even really begun. My heart truly goes out to Kamori’s family; losing her and the unborn child is unimaginable. What stands out to me is the charge of hindering prosecution against the other teens. I wonder what exactly that involves in this case. Were they trying to protect Brenton, or were they just scared kids caught in a situation way over their heads? It's easy to forget that, while they deserve accountability, they are also likely struggling to process the gravity of what happened. If anyone’s heard more about those details, please share. I hope justice is served for Kamori, but I also hope there can be some understanding of everything that led up to this tragic moment. What a harsh reminder of how fragile life can be.
